Bette and I were classmates all through our school years. I have great memories of spending afternoons at her house to watch American Bandstand!. During the holidaysI can also remember a large snowman or Santa in her foyer that moved when the front door opened! She was a kind and gentle soul who inspired many of her students.

I was in Saginaw and driving near the area where Betty’s house was and a flood of fond memories came to mind. Betty was such a great gal and so smart. She had one of my sons in her class for a short time before we left Saginaw. He loved her class and she was the only teacher that he was sorry to leave. She left an imprint on all who knew her. Such a great loss.

I always liked Betty. We were both in Thespians, and worked together on Legenda staff.

North Intermediate, Arthur Hill, Michigan State and after.  Great  friends through all of it.  Until I left MI. and we lost touch.  Never should have let that happen.  I miss you Bette!

I grew up across the street from Betty. Our parents were best friends and Dan and Betty were mine. Nearly all my early childhood memories involve the Spauldings. From learning how to tie my shoes to riding my first bike, to starting school, Betty was there. She became an inspirational teacher and will be greatly missed.
