Barbara C. Prather, age 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2016, with her family and dear friend by her side. Barb was a Special Education teacher for over 30 years at North Godwin Schools.

She enjoyed playing cards, going to musicals, plays, and social activities with her family and friends. Her parents, Larry and Margaret Prather, preceded her in death. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister and brothers, Janet (Pat) Simmons, Michael (Hattie) Prather, Gregory (Terri) Prather; nieces and nephews, Matthew (Michelle) Simmons, Jason (Rachel) Simmons, Alexandra (Joe) Levingston, Christy (Brian) Murphy, Cody (Sylvia) Jackson, Julie Jackson; many great nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Linda Keegstra.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There is no visitation or service planned. Interment in Rosedale Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Barb was a dear friend of mine for years growing up. We walked to North School and Arthur Hill together. We also were choir buddies at Zion Lutheran Church. We shared many good times together. I lost contact with Barb as our roads took different turns.
