Barbara Wressell Henshaw, beloved wife, mother, grandmother (“Oma”) and friend, passed away peacefully on October 8th at the age of 78. A longtime resident of University City in San Diego, CA, she dedicated her life to her family and her community. Barbara was born on May 6, 1947, in Saginaw, Michigan and was known for her kindness, generosity, and tireless energy. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1965 and was active in organizing class reunions. After a 17-year rainy and wet stop in Seattle, she moved to San Diego where she loved the beach, skiing, sailing, and enjoying the California sun. Barbara was deeply involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren, serving for many years with the PTA, Grad Night and at school events. She also gave her time and talents to the Girls Scouts and University City Community Association, where her commitment left a lasting impact. She will be remembered for her warmth, smile, her ability to bring people together, and her devotion to her family.

Barbara,  Connie Touchtone Losano, and I have been friends since 1st grade at John Moore School. As is typical in all of our lives, we would only see each other at class reunions and have done so ever since our first one in 1975. This year, both Connie and Barbara were missing. How very sorry I am to have gotten the word of Barbara's death. Rest in peace, Dear Friend.

Our Reunion Committee were trying to reach out to many Classmates!  One was Barb Wressell!  Just so sad to hear about her passing so soon after our Reunion.  Her husband described her well!  Always a big Smile and so very friendly & nice!  I remember how beautiful & happy she looked at our 50th Reunion!  So sorry for her Family's Loss!  Norma Metzger Schmick

Barb was visiting her sister in Lansing several years ago and gave me a call.  We met and spent five hours catching up.  We were in homeroom together, and because of the Wressel/Wright names, we always sat next to each other.  We were good friends and had fun when we joined P.R.E.P.S.
