Mary Ann Greene

Mary Ann Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at her home. Age 69 years. The daughter of the late Harry and Lorna (Garrett) Austin, Mary Ann was born September 30, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was employed at the U.S. Postal Service for many years until her retirement in 2012 and was a member of the A.P.W.U. #486-487 Area Local. Mary Ann attended Hopevale Church. She enjoyed going to the casino, especially in Las Vegas. Most of all, Mary Ann loved time spent with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are one son and two daughters, Scott Carter, Kalamazoo; Melissa Dewar, Saginaw; Jennifer Dietrich, Saginaw; eight grandchildren, Sean, Damien, Megan, Michael, Jerred, Mary Ashley, Jordan and Cameron; two great-grandchildren, Cali and Carson; two sisters, Rae Grierson and Jackie (Jack) Noble; several nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Austin. Honoring Mary Ann's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 at Hopevale Church, corner of Tittabawassee and Center Roads. Pastor Sam Burke will officiate. Friends may call at Hopevale Church where the family will be present on Friday from 12:00 noon until time of service.
