Greg Bell

Gregory W. Bell, age 72 of Zilwaukee passed away Tuesday morning September 17, 2019 at home following a ten-month illness surrounded by his family. The son of the late Dewey and Doris (Bauer) Bell, Greg was born April 2, 1947 in Zilwaukee where he was a lifelong resident. Greg was a 1965 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. He served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam prior to his honorable discharge. Greg married the former Sandra L. Cox on August 28, 1970 at St. John Lutheran Church in Zilwaukee. He was co-owner of L & B Cartage Trucking for many years and upon retirement, he worked with his son at Bell Landscaping. Greg was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Zilwaukee and he enjoyed playing golf, visiting the Casino, having fellowship with his friends at Bruce's bar, and car rides with his good friend, Butch King. Surviving are his beloved wife, Sandy; dear children, Chad (Christina) Bell and Traci Bell; 5 grandchildren, Jayce, Keegan, Mackenzie, Ainsley and Hayden Bell; 1 brother and 2 sisters, Tim (Michelle) Bell, Jenny Almy, and Lori Vaughn; many nieces and nephews, and friends also survive him. He was preceded in death by 2 infant children, Todd and Stacey Bell; and by an infant sister. Funeral Service will take place 10:00 A.M. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church in Zilwaukee with Pastor David Kipfmiller officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at Cederberg-Brietzke Funeral Home, 403 N. Michigan Ave, in Saginaw on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until time of service. Memorials in Greg's memory may be made to the CAN Council.
