Chapman, John H. II Freeland, Michigan Passed away early Friday morning, August 10, 2007 at his home in Freeland at the age of 62 years. John was born August 21, 1944 in Ypsilanti, MI to the late John H. and Beryl J. (Campau) Chapman and had resided in the area most of his life. John was an avid hunter, car enthusiast, artist who enjoyed painting and wood carving and had a passion for the Western United States, especially the Black Hills of South Dakota. John also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. On October 16, 1965 John married Barbara K. Sheedlo. John is survived by his two children, Michael (Heidi) Chapman of Freeland, Michelle (Randy) Nelson of Freeland; eight grandchildren, Jerhemy, Jason, Melissa, Andrew, Jessica, Austin, Alec, Tyler; and six great-grandchildren. A sister, Mary Jo Chapman of Spearfish, SD; a niece, Shanna Howell; a nephew, Jared Newland; and his former wife, Barbara L. Ferrio of Bay City also survive John. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, Freeland. Rev. Robert G. Schmidt will officiate. Per John's request cremation has already taken place. Friends may call at the Cunningham/Taylor Funeral Home, 310 E. Washington, Freeland on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until time of service.
