Survived By:  her husband, James, are three daughters and their husbands, Sandy and Patrick Streets, Saginaw, MI; Pamela and David Janofski, Marquette, MI; Jaclyn and Steven Muter, Saginaw, MI; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Streets; Harper and Holden Janofski; Madelyn and Levi Muter; two sisters, a brother and their spouses, Nancy and Dave Shands; Joann Doyle; Don and Jenny Ludwick; several nieces and nephews. A son, Michael Anthony Pacek, her step-father, Joseph Minar, a sister and a brother, Mary Dronitsky and Charles (Billy) Gilman have predeceased her.

Saginaw, Michigan

       Passed away Monday, June 29, 2015, at Covenant- Cooper surrounded by her family.  Age 67 years.

The daughter of the late Dorothy (Polin) and Kenneth Obendorfer was born October 24, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan.  She married James F. Simmons, July 14, 1978. He survives her.  She was employed by Eaton Corp retiring with 32 years of service.  She then was employed by Nouvel Catholic Central High School in the lunch room.  She was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Church, St. Helen Campus. She enjoyed traveling, watching her favorite television show, The Price is Right, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and family.

      Surviving besides her husband, James, are three daughters and their husbands, Sandy and Patrick Streets, Saginaw, MI; Pamela and David Janofski, Marquette, MI; Jaclyn and Steven Muter, Saginaw, MI; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn Streets; Harper and Holden Janofski; Madelyn and Levi Muter; two sisters, a brother and their spouses, Nancy and Dave Shands; Joann Doyle; Don and Jenny Ludwick; several nieces and nephews.      The funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Christ The Good Shepherd Church, St. Helen Campus, 2445 N. Charles St. Saginaw.  Rev. Ronald Wagner will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Wednesday where a vigil service will be held at 8:00 p.m.  Friends may call at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Heart Assoc. The Simmons family wish to thank the staff and caregivers of Covenant- Cooper S.I.C.U.
