Margaret passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was 74 years old. Margaret Mary Sargent was born on March 10, 1947 to the late Ford Roland “Rolly” and Marianne Albosta Sargent. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1965. She married the love of her life, James Edwin Keeler on September 30, 1967, in Saginaw at St. Helen Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2013. Moogie and Jim owned and operated Saginaw Asphalt until their retirement in 2003. They enjoyed wintering in Florida. Moogie loved animals, including horses, goats, alpacas, and many, many cats and dogs that she rescued throughout the years. She breed and showed Morgan horses, for many years. Moogie had a servant heart, and her door was always open to those that needed assistance. Her life centered around providing a warm and welcoming environment to family, friends and children that she fostered.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim; dear friend, Anna Rose Stephenson.

Surviving are two daughters: Wendy (Tim) Smith, of Saginaw and Jean Pearson of Ann Arbor; two grandsons: Brandon and Mitchell Smith; sister, Francesanna "Franny" Sargent; niece, Theresa (Mike) Sinykin; nephews: Rolly Sargent, Thomas Webber and William (Barbara) Webber; special long-time friends: Carl Pardon and his late wife, Priscilla; dear friends and caregivers: Kevin Canfield, Sandy Zissler and Vicki Arnold.
VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State), Saginaw, MI from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
FUNERAL: A private service and burial for Moogie will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
